Ideally Flo goes before water enters the home

in this particular job there was fire sprinkler equipment on the inside wall of the garage near where the water comes in so we didn't want to put it there. But we found some room behind the water softeners underneath the builder's loop. This is usually the least expensive location because it's easy & usually doesn't require any additional electrical work. The only drawback is that from this location the Flo cannot monitor outside landscaping, or the water coming in to the home.

also in this photo we see the builder's direct line to the kitchen drinking water must also be added (builders typically keep the kitchen drinking water off the loop because of codes that try to protect homeowners from too much sodium from salt-based softeners) so we must make sure that line is also included otherwise the Phyn can't detect a leak in that area.
